This is a decent weight lock. We replaced the lock at an apartment with it, it works great. The thought process was that this would allow us to know if the landlord ever entered without our consent – we’d assign him a personalized PIN and if that PIN entered, we knew it was him. Meanwhile myself and my partner had codes so we knew it was us.
The app makes set up seamless. It’s quick and easy.
Installation did not take long either. It fit in the old setting and worked immediately. It does run off two (2) triple A batteries I think (I forget since installation) and claims to be good for a year. Since we installed it last night, we’ll know to change it every New Years Eve.
It also has two fobs which work well, and can be set up to run off wifi as well. Bluetooth was a bit spotty.
Happy with this overall!

I’m pretty new to keypad locks, and this replaces a more rudimentary unit that I had previously installed. In comparison, this is the Cadillac of keylocks. I’m really happy with it.
Looks-wise, it’s very attractive. It has the blue-lit keypad, and the covered keyhole for the physical lock. (You remove the cover with a little suction cup that comes with the two keys on a loop).
From there, the options on how to lock and unlock are little staggering — in a good way. You have to do everything through an app you install on your phone. (And this is where it differs sharply from the prior unit I replaced. That one allowed for everything to be done on the keypad, with a “master passcode” entered first.). I will admit I have a little trepidation about being tied to an app on the phone, to use the features, but so many things are like that.
That said, it’s a really easy to use the App. It’s tied to Bluetooth. And there are so many cool. features.
You can set a passcode. You have it auto-generate a passcode. You can generate an “e-key”. You can use fingerprints. You can use a little fob card (it comes with two). And each of these can be set up as either permanent, single-use, or time-limited. So neat.
I also love the feature that will automatically lock the door after 30 seconds (or 15, or whichever of some set times works for you). There’s also a lock/unlock button on the app itself, but you have to be standing within 2 meters of your door to use that.
You can even set it up so that it works with Alexa (“Alexa, lock the front door”), although from my research it involves installing the TTL skill on Alexa, but also buying a gateway device (a little physical gadget) to liaise between the two. I’ll be trying that soon.
Update: I did purchase the little gateway device, and set it up with no problem. Now I can open/close the door using the Alexa skill called TTL Lock, which uses account linking to connect to the lock’s open/close features. The Lock becomes a new “device” in Alexa, and to open, you have to enable the remote locking feature on both TTL and Alexa. But from there, it will work with voice activation, provided you also recite a 4-digit numerical code you’ve assigned. (Sounds complicated, but it’s not).
Honestly, this is just extra cool.
The whole thing works with 4 AA batteries, but there is also a USB charging port on the front (i.e. outside facing panel) in case the batteries fail. So, in an emergency battery-fail situation you can still charge the unit from the outside of your home to ensure you can get in.
Overall, I can super recommend this. Really happy.

First off, this lock looks great. Very modern looking and would go with any type of door style in my opinion. I love how many different (and secure) ways there are to access this lock – code, app, key, fingerprint or even one of 2 included fobs. My kids are always letting random friends know our door code and so making it complex and just using fingerprints for the kids is helpful in keeping access to our house limited. I like how there is a cover over the manual key hole – improves the overall look. Recommended for sure, especially for the value at this price!

I got this unit for my front door so the kids could stop losing keys.
It looks great, really high quality finishing. It comes with everything you need other then the tools to do the install. (screw driver on previously drilled door)
Make sure you watch the video before you take your old unit down, it was very informative and easy to follow along. Though, I really wish the instructions were more complete on paper, as an old man I find it hard to follow video’s while doing something.
The unit worked perfectly first try, the kids now have pins and finger prints saved to get in the house. I’m using the tag because its winter and I don’t want to take my gloves off.
All and all, I think its a good product and would recommend to anyone who asks!

Multiple access methods is where the smart door lock really excels. Physical keys, smart cards, fingerprints, or access codes are all the ways to open this smart lock. My kids would always be forgetting their keys and I would fear that one day they get locked out of the house. Now I can issue them access codes as well as fingerprint profiles so they always have access to open the door lock in the event they forget their keys. I had initial issues with fingerprint recognition due to my daughter’s small thumb size, so she uses her access code instead. The ability to auto lock the deadbolt after a predefined timeout time period makes forgetting to lock the door a thing of the past. The unit uses four AA batteries and in the event of complete battery depletion, also contains a USB port for emergency power. Installation in my case was a breeze as the existing deadbolt hole as well striker plate didn’t need any modification in order to install.

This is quite the slick unit. It gives you the ability to unlock or lock the door with an APP, fingerprint, IC card, passcode or fingerprint. I don’t have one but if you add a gateway you can also voice control the unit. It has a very sleek look to it making it aesthetically pleasing. Overall it is a real nice lock for a good price.
Got a child or family member who tends to lose keys, no problem, program their finger print. Got a neighbor feeding your pet while you are away, give them an IC card and they are all set. It gives low battery warnings so it should not stop working without warning but even if it does, you can just remove the cover and use a physical key. I am very happy with this lock and would recommend it to others.

Looks good and seems so built. Easy to install with great directions and compliments my Aibocn smart door lock perfectly.

The installation is straightforward. While the manual suggested drilling holes, it turned out that a sturdy installation could be achieved without it. What I particularly love about it is the variety of unlocking methods. Opening doors has never been more convenient.

It¡¯s a game-changer! Easy setup, seamless integration with my phone, and the auto-lock feature gives me peace of mind. No more fumbling for keys¡ªjust a tap to unlock. Plus, the sleek design adds a modern touch to my door.

The shipping is very fast.
One of the standout features is the ability to effortlessly unlock the front door with a single touch, perfect for those moments when your hands are full with groceries or other items. This streamlined process eliminates the hassle of fumbling for keys, providing a faster and more efficient way to access my home.
I strongly recommend this lock. It’s easy to use and very convenient.
Ben –
Auto lock is good and sensitive, we use the e key or passcode or different fingerprints to open the door. Kid love to use it without keys.
Callopsitte –
This lock is very well made. I had an old digital lock but compared to this one mine was very cheap (it was on the house when we bought).
This one is 100% thick metal. It has gaskets on both sides so rain water won’t get inside to damage it. Even the battery compartment (on the inside side) has a “security” feature. You need to push a small button with a pin to open the battery part.
Very important. You absolutely need a phone or tablet to download the app to program everything and you’ll need to create an account. The app will be practicle as it can tell you who came in and at what time (perfect if you have teenagers).
It’s fairly easy to setup following the app instructions and the lock voice. I’m so impressed by that!
Also important to write is that it will keep your door secured. The latch is of very good quality.
As for the price. My daughter works in a big hardware store and told me that these are very cheap compared to those she sells and being also cheaper made. You really can’t go wrong getting this one.
Excellent buy!… And it speaks (I’m still i mpressed)!

The AppLoki door lock is a good value for those who want a good quality product that works well to replace conventional manual deadbolt locks. The device is easy to use, has many options to unlock the door, looks great, lots of features and is easy to install.
The device is well made and is built durable enough to not worry about it posing a problem due to elements or people use or misuse of the device.
The product is easy to use with there being many options to utilize it. The kit includes 2 physical keys and two RFID keys to use along with the ability to use fingerprints, passcode or the accessory app to control the device. The fingerprint and passcode worked well for myself as the app did not work well with my Huawei device thst does not have access to the normal Google play store. I also did not use the Alexa Voice feature however it would be useful to use voice to lock and unlock.
This product is great for those who need a deadbolt lock and wish to have an easy way to use it besides standard keys. After the internal battery gets low you can use a power bank to provide a recharge to the locks batteries.
Overall this is a great quality product that works well and is easy to use and install. The price at review is close to what some of the brand name manual deadbolt locks cost making the AppLoki a value.

I haven’t had a chance to install this door lock yet as we’re awaiting new doors, but the quality seems on par with some more expensive units. Sadly, I can’t speak to it’s longevity but the features are plentiful! Finger print reader, RFID Tags, keypad access and a good ol’ fashioned key!
I’ll update the review once I’ve installed it.

Included in package: Fingerprint keyless door lock with bluetooth, 2 keys, 2 Fobs.
Pros:
– Very easy installation (took me all of five minutes to swap out my current deadbolt with this one)
– IP65 weatherproof, Canada’s weather gets very cold and this has done a great job withstanding some very cold snowy days.
– Lock opens Via, bluetooth app, standard key, Wireless key fob, and also via Fingerprint
– Lock can be set to autolock after a set amount of time. (mine is set to 30 seconds)
– Fingerprint sensor works great especially coming home with a handful of groceries you can quickly set your finger on the sensor and it unlocks.
– Can be synced with Alexa so you’re able to tell it to lock/unlock the door.
– If password is entered incorrectly 5 times or fingerprint sensor doesn’t register with user 5 times it’ll lock out and set an alarm off which could scare of potential intruders.
Cons:
– None.
Conclusion: This Fingerprint deadbolt doorlock has been absolutely amazing and I’ve had zero issues with it. I love the fingerprint reader because I don’t have to fumble around for keys especially if I’m carrying stuff it makes it easy to unlock the door by just placing my finger on the sensor. I also love the auto lock feature because sometimes people forget to lock the door and it’ll automatically lock after 30 seconds so I don’t have to worry whether the door was locked or not on the way out. 5/5 highly recommend.

It works well once installed. Straightforward to install if you’ve installed one before, but the instructions are terrible all around. The app is very clunky and not at all intuitive. Once we registered our fingerprints the lock worked great and consistently recognizes our prints. I like that it has a flat screen, and works in cold temperatures. Did not come with batteries. I got very frustrated trying to connect the app to Google, just wouldn’t work – kept getting a no recognized device error. During initial set up I had to keep touching the screen (and have the door open in the middle of winter) because it kept losing connection (which it loudly broadcast over and over, adding to my frustration). It works, but was a pain to set up, and cannot connect to Google (there are multiple apps to connect to and it’s just a PITA). 4 stars for the device, 2 stars for instructions, app and not working for smart home hookup.

My old password lock suddenly doesn¡¯t work, sometimes it can¡¯t lock by itself given weather is cold. I decided to change it. After I did some searching, I ordered this one. It is easy to set up with instructions. It is convenient as my kids can open it after school to go hike without having key. Good technique and good quality. Recommend it.

*Edit – the company reached out and helped with my issue and resloved the situation. Very happy to recommend them.
This look looks good and feels good but the fingerprint reader was a bit finiky. Sometimes will not read fingerprint sometimes then it goes into lockdown mode which won’t let you unlock your door for a period of time.
Flowerchild –
I got this so my kids could use the finger print. It doesn’t work at all for any of us. Kinda sucks
Rob Turner –
Rather impressed with the number of ways to access this system, and it does it’s job well. So far, it has even managed to work without issue in Canadian Winter (Ottawa), as long as you have aligned the bolt plate perfectly. If not, you risk the chance it will snag on the edge and not lock, or be hard to unlock. The fingerprint reader works well, and setup is all through the app. I like that you can even get it to respond to my bank card/credit cards (TD Canada Trust ones work), so you can go out with just a CC/bankcard on you, and just press it to the lock when you get home. Handy if you lose your phone, which will also open it for you. Personally, I glued one of the fobs to my micro-wallet, and that is my main key, in case the fingerprint reader is ever finnicky. Second one is in the car.
Too much to say, and majority is great!
That said, They claim it can be controlled by alexa, but it’s not as simple as it sounds. Tried to figure it out (and I’m a techie), but gave up after a while.
VanessaMomOf3 –
1st off the key cover is a magnet which is NOT mentioned in directions.
Fingerprint is rarely acknowledged.
It¡¯s a good price but it¡¯s pretty infuriating trying to use.

This is my second AppLoki Fingerprint Door Lock, first one was fine but this one the fingerprint scanner does not seem to work, it doesn’t even light up.
This is unfortunate since I was happy with the first one I purchased.
I hate to do the work twice but I will need to return this one.

I recieved this package less than a month ago and installed the lock the following week, so for 80$ it lasted 3 weeks at most..
Now it wont lock or unlock like the motor died. I checked the batteries with a multimeter and they were new (obvioulsy). So I disassembled the whole thing and got to the motor; the motor is not dead it spins but only like a quarter of a second which is far fron enough to move the deadbolt the slightest bit. So it’s a firmware issue, meaning nothing can be done about it.. what a waste of hard earned cash….
Kyla Mcgeough –
Only reason i didn¡¯t give it 5 stars is because it didn¡¯t last long. However! The seller contacted me and has sent out a new one and I should be getting that any day now! They said it was likely damaged in shipping so excited to try it out again

I have this installed now. Was able to install this on the door without making any modifications to the door itself, which is a good feature for those renting or in condos.
The lock can be opened using a key, phone app, fingerprints, fobs (2 included), pass codes (4 to 9 digits), and a remote (mine did not include one).
There is normally a cover over the key hole that is held in place magnetically. My pictures do not have that cover on to show the key hole.
The lock connects to an app called TTLock by Bluetooth. You must be near the lock to make changes. There is an optional gateway that connects the lock to WIFI for remote management and Alexa support.
TTLock is a separate entity so I won’t review them, but they have some very cool open and enterprise features as well as some subscription features.
Installation was not hard. The deadbolt can be installed in one of two standard lengths. There is only one wire bundle from the outside to the inside which easily fit through the standard hole in the door for locks.
The lock is well made of what appears to be an aluminum alloy. Both the outside and inside have thick gaskets to prevent damage to the door and to keep water and intrusion out. The keypad lights up when in use and stays lit for only a short time. The fingerprint sensor turns green on success and red on failure. Recognizing fingerprints is fast. The lock is quiet when opening and closing. A quiet yet audible voice gives feedback.
Manual claims IP65 waterproof rating so good for doors that are not in direct exposure to rain, i.e. most house doors with an overhang or awning or all inside doors.
The lock is powered by four AA batteries (not included) that are easy to change without tools. There is an emergency power port on the outside under the lock that uses micro USB. Manual claims about one year of battery life. I think I’ll change batteries when the clocks change, just like I do for smoke detectors.
This uses a fairly standard North American key core. I don’t know if it would void the warranty to change cores so you would have to check with the company.
I am very impressed and feel safe with this on my door.
Canada Rules –
This lock works amazing. I am still figuring out everything with the app but so far I am really enjoying unlocking the door from my car before I come with all the groceries. It was super easy to install on my door and quite simple to program for each person’s fingerprints. The key fobs work well and fast and so far no issues with the fingerprint reader. I made a passcode for each family member and registered their fingerprints too. This is a really cool smart lock that makes life so much more convenient. You do need to have a door handle to go with it as this one is just for the deadbolt part. Totally recommend.
Aaron –
I had a chance to install this lock today and all and all it only took about 30 minutes to install and was pretty straightforward. Since this was replacing a standard deadbolt on my front door, I did have to have to drill the top hole out, but with the template they provided it wasn’t difficult. The unit itself feels great, it’s heavy duty and very sturdy.
The app is good as it lets your control everything including locking and unlocking the door. Personally, we’ll be using the fingerprint and code the most. I did try the fobs but I couldn’t get them to work right, it kept saying they were registered but wouldn’t work when swiping them. The bluetooth for me is a bit spotty as well, it would say check your bluetooth (turn it off and on again) and then if I tried again it would work fine. Other then that I have no complaints, would definitely recommend.
Steves_Reviews –
I got this to replace the old one I had on one of our Airbnb properties so I could have our house manager setup and change the codes without being there or us being there, we did purchase the wifi gateway separately and I highly recommend that to complete the lock.
For starters, the install, we had it professionally done and it took him 25 minutes to remove the old one, install this one and set it up with the app on our phone. It required no extra cutting, no grinding, it was a basic install.
The setup on the phone quite literally took 2 minutes and we created a login to share with our house manager.
Adding/removing codes, checking the lock/unlock logs to see whos coming and going from anywhere in the world is AWESOME. We can see when its guests, the cleaners, or our manager and anyone else in between as each person gets their own code.
The physical quality of this lock is excellent, typical AppLoki quality and A+.
The app is easy and intuitive to use, we LOVE LOVE LOVE the auto-lock feature as sometimes guests forget to lock the door as their hands are fun and they are busy thinking about the day and their travels, it happens, so the auto-lock feature is a HUGE help.
We seriously love this thing and are looking to upgrade our other properties with this one.

As of this date, December 2023, the regular price of this item is $119.99. Without any available discount or coupon at the time.
After testing another password entry door lock, I wanted one for my garage. This one is great because besides the password it is possible to open it with mechanical keys, fingerprints, or even cards.
The installation was very easy since the keypad deadbolt fitted perfectly with the door (standard)
I’m not sure I would use it on my front door since there are heavy storms often in my area and a lot of snow in winter. However, in the garage or any interior door, it is just perfect.
If only it had a rechargeable battery! You will need 4 AA batteries, not included of course, how long do they last… time will tell. As an option, it could be “emergency boosted” so that’s OK in case you get out of juice.
This smart door lock allows you to unlock your door using 6 different methods – fingerprint, key, magnetic card (included), key code, a mobile app or using the gateway (Alexa integration).
Installation is pretty straightforward, just be aware that replacing an old standard lock may require additional drilling.
Overall, it is a good quality, well-built, and sturdy innovative lock. I totally recommend it.
